Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use A11yGov, we collect the following information:

• Website URLs you submit for scanning. These are stored so we can run compliance scans and deliver reports.
• Email addresses. Used to send scan results, magic link authentication for the dashboard, and subscription communications.
• Payment information. Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details on our servers.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the A11yGov service: running WCAG compliance scans on the URLs you provide, delivering scan reports to your email, and managing your subscription. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe to A11yGov monitoring, your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe's servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment status and your Stripe customer ID. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

Cookies

A11yGov does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not track your browsing behavior across sites. The dashboard uses URL-based token authentication, not cookies.

Data storage and retention

Scan results and customer records are stored in AWS S3 in the ca-central-1 (Canada) region. Data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted. Free scan results are retained for 30 days.

Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Scan results are stored with server-side encryption (AES-256). Dashboard access requires a time-limited magic link token sent to your registered email address.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data or request deletion at any time by emailing contact@a11ygov.io. We will respond within 30 days.
